Additionally, Traxxis features an integrated battery meter that allows you to monitor the charge of your battery.

The Minn Kota Riptide Transom has similar features to the Traxxis, but is made for Saltwater use. The Riptide Transom is available in both variable and fixed speed versions.

Additional Information

Amperage Draw: 56 amps at maximum speed
Motor Run Time: Important Note: As you likely won't be running your trolling motor perpetually, the actual amount of on-the-water time a motor should allow will be substantial longer than times listed. Actual motor run time can vary depending on conditions (winds, waves, etc) and the type of battery used. Listed below are run-time estimates assuming a 100 amp hour rated battery. To learn more, please see our article on calculating motor run time.

  • 20+ Hours: At slow, trolling speeds that draw 5 amps or less
  • 3.6 Hours: Approx. run time with throttle 50% open
  • 1.8 Hours: Approx. run time with the motor at full throttle
Stow and Deploy Method: With a single hand, you can remove your motor from the water without needing to fuss with buttons, levers or locks. Pull the motor slightly up to disengage, then rotate back for convenient stowing.
Motor Steering Method: Traxxis' steering control lets you fine-tune the amount of play in the steering column. Want smooth steering for precise maneuvering? It's easy to dial the tension back using the tension collar. Need a more rigid steering column to maintain a course? Tighten down the collar to eliminate steering play and keep the motor in place. Traxxis' convenient collar lets you customize tension for any situation, making motor operation more convenient.
Shaft Adjustment: Guaranteed for life, Minn Kota's composite shafts are flexible and stronger than steel. They are guaranteed not to break, corrode or kink, and are the only trolling motor shaft that carries a lifetime guarantee.
Motor Speed: All Traxxis motors have a variable speed motor

Overall Rating
The motor didn't last long, 7 months , and it's in the shop. It seems that it can't take heavy use.
