| How It's Unique: | MotorGuide Tour Edition trolling motors are a step-up from the Freshwater line and the choice motor for tournament fishermen. Compared to the Freshwater motors, Tour Edition offers a heavy-duty aluminum motor mount with a spring housing for the motor shaft, a metal foot pedal, and a variable speed motor for increased motor efficiency. Additionally, select Tour edition models include a built-in Lowrance Transducer. Unlike the Freshwater series, MotorGuide Tour Edition offers only 24 and 36 volt models. MotorGuide Great White is as heavy-duty as the Tour Edition motors, but is only made in hand-controlled models. Great White is a good choice for saltwater fishermen who want the heavy-duty quality of the Tour Edition in a hand-controlled motor. Also similar to the Tour Edition, the MotorGuide Wireless line offers a variable speed motor that is controlled by either a wireless foot pedal or remote control and has an optional Lowrance transducer. |

| Mounting Details: | This motor is bolted directly to the bow of the boat using the included mounting hardware, and requires drilling into the boat for installation. Ideally, it's best to have access to the underside of the mounting platform in order to secure and fasten the bolting hardware. However, if accessing the underside is impossible you can use no access bolts to secure the motor from the top. For more information see our compatibility and mounting guides. |

| Motor Run Time: | Important Note: As you likely won't be running your trolling motor perpetually, the actual amount of on-the-water time a motor should allow will be substantially longer than times listed. Actual motor run time can vary depending on conditions (winds, waves, etc) and the type of battery used. Listed below are run-time estimates assuming a 100 amp hour rated battery. To learn more, please see our article on calculating motor run time.

| Stow and Deploy Method: | Tour Series features a Gator Spring mount, which is built from aircraft-grade aluminum and is one of the strongest mounts available. A hinged door allows for easy motor removal. When the trolling motor is not in use, the motor can be manually removed from the water and naturally rotates into a flat position to convenient stow on the deck. When ready for use, simply slide the motor head and shaft forward, and it effortlessly swings back down into the water. |
| Motor Steering Method: | The MotorGuide Tour series motors are steered by foot pedal. The cable-driven foot pedal is controlled by rocking your foot back and forth to control motor direction while motor speed is controlled by the rotating dial on the side of the foot pedal. |
| Shaft Adjustment: | The Gator Spring mount has a shaft adjustment that makes it easy to set how deep the shaft and propeller sit in the water. |
| Motor Speed: | All MotorGuide Tour Edition motors have a variable speed motor. Learn more about fixed vs. variable speed motors. |
