We take your privacy very seriously and WILL NOT sell or distribute your personal information to any commercial third parties other than those required to process your order.

 

Shipping Policy

We offer FREE standard 1-5 day shipping on all orders over $100 within the Continental United States.  If you'd like to place an order but live outside the Continential U.S., please see our guide on international shipments with freight forwarding.  

Due to their size and weight, we only offer standard shipping at this time for all trolling motors.  This means delivery within 5 business days of ordering, but often in as little as 2-3 business days. Please be aware that the major shipping agents we use - UPS and FedEx - count business days as Monday through Friday.  

Orders placed before 12:00 EST are usually shipped out the same-day. Within 24 hours of shipment, you will be emailed shipment confirmation, along with tracking information for your order. In the unlikely event there is a problem with your order fulfillment, you'll be contacted by phone or email within 24 business hours.

 

Sales Tax

We don't charge sales tax to anyone living in the United States, in any state.  You'll never have to worry about this when shopping with us.

 

Return Policy

We offer a no-hassle 30 day return policy for all purchases, and no restocking fees for items returned in brand new and re-sellable condition. If you need to return an item for any reason, please contact us and request an individual RA number and return shipping address. Please do not return merchandise without requesting an RA number or verifying the shipping address.  Doing either of these will result in significant delays in processing your return. Specifics regarding various return types are listed below:

 

Returns for a Refund

Products returned for a refund must be in brand new and re-sellable condition, and contain all original parts and packaging.  Trolling motors in brand new, unused condition may be returned within 30 days of purchase, but are ineligible for return once placed / used in the water.  

While TrollingMotors.net ensures delivery of a new and working motor, any issues arising after the motor is placed in the water are covered by Minn Kota or MotorGuide manufacturer warranties.  Trolling motor boxes must be in good condition and can contain no writing on the outside of the package. Returns must be shipped within 30 days of the original purchase date to be eligible for a refund. For larger items including trolling motors, the customer is responsible for properly packaging and insuring returned shipments as we are unable to accept returns that are damaged.

 

Defective and DOA Products

Motor manufacturers, such as Minn Kota and MotorGuide, provide technical support for their motors and products and prefer that they be contacted first in the event of a broken or malfunctioning product. In the event the manufacturer is unwilling or unable to help, TrollingMotors.net will pay to have the items shipped back and will send out a new, functioning item for products that are Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) and do not work properly out of the box.  

Replacement inquiries must be made within 14 days of receiving the defective product.  While TrollingMotors.net ensures delivery of a new and working motor, issues arising after motor is used in the water are covered by Minn Kota or MotorGuide product warranties, regardless of the time period.  We cannot accept motor returns for any reason once they have been placed in the water.  

 

Shipping Mistakes and Shipping Damage

In the event that we send you an incorrect product, or fail to ship your entire order, we will swiftly remedy the mistake at no cost to you.  Additionally, we will work with you in the event your item is damaged by a freight company to quickly get you a replacement at no cost to you.
