I was very skeptical looking at this motor and the battery setup when I first used it on my nearly 10,000lb sailboat. I thought that there would be really no way that it would push the boat and if it did it would be sluggish & very slow. Boy was I wrong! Plenty of power and super quiet. It is ideal for the short periods of maneuvering a sailboat out and back around harbor & docks. I much prefer this motor to the vibration, noise, and smell of my 2.5 gasoline Mariner.
