If the transom of your boat is curved, you'll need a Minn Kota Talon mounting bracket in order to properly install your new anchoring system. All the mounting adapters listed on this page are intended for use between the outboard motor and the transom. All Talon Mounting Brackets are named according to this scheme:

S or P - Indicates Starboard or Port
L - Indicates the bracket has additionally long side clearance
T - Indicates bracket is for a non-jack mounting plate on Triton fiberglass bass boats
3, 6 or 9 - Indicates the length of the setback in inches
Example - Bracket Model 6PL : This model mounts Talon 6" back (6) from the transom, on the port side (P), with additional side clearance (L).
