Selecting the Right Motor: Boat weight is the most important factor to consider to ensure your trolling motor provides ample power for your bass boat. While boat length recommendations are listed, they are for approximation purposes only.
24v and 36v Motors: Larger 24v (two battery) and 36v (three battery) trolling motors will provide additional thrust to larger boats. They can also be a good choice for smaller boat owners that want maximum runtime from their trolling motor.
Control Methods: Foot controlled bow mount motors are the most common choice for bass boats, but other options are also available. Wireless options such as CoPilot and GPS powered i-Pilot are available on Minn Kota motors, as well as the MotorGuide Wireless series.
