This circuit breaker protects the trolling motor from electrical damage. If the motor prop gets jammed and the motor isn't quickly turned off, the motor will continue to draw more and more power, eventually permanently damaging the components. With this breaker installed, the power will be cut once power draw reaches 50 amps preventing damage to the motor. This breaker is designed for MotorGuide motors that draw less than 50 amps during normal operations, but can be used with other motors as well. To learn more, please see our article on trolling motor circuit breakers.

When I ordered my trolling motor from TrollingMotors.net I didn't order a new breaker, which was my fault. I quickly called and asked them which one was the one that I needed, ordered it and in about 2 days it showed up. The installation was quick and simple and now I know that everything is protected. I am really glad I was able to find this great company.... Thanks guys
I stumbled onto Trolling Motors.net site in attempt to determine what kind of fuse I needed for the Motor Guide on my Dad's old boat. The existing fuse literally disintegrated and the design didn't ring a bell with me. When I found this site, it clearly described this Manual Reset Breaker that I needed. After reviewing a few more pages of the site, it was clear these folks have a tremendous amount of knowledge about trolling motors. Upon ordering, I immediately received confirmation and shipping notices. Soon after, I received an email from Clayton asking about my experience. I responded with enthusiastic positives and he immediately replied to thank me. Clayton also sent 2 drink holders and a THANK YOU letter. I'll recommend that anyone I meet that needs anything related to trolling motors to visit TrollingMotors.net. Thanks! Greg J
